William Olivera, PhD

William Olivera is an assistant professor of business analytics at FSU's College of Business. His research focuses on the effective adoption and use of information technologies within the healthcare sector. Specific interests include health IT adoption and its impact on hospitals and patient outcomes, remote patient monitoring, and the digital divide.

Noyan Ilk, PhD

Dr. Noyan Ilk is the Chair and Synovus Associate Professor of Business Analytics. His research focuses on business and service analytics and financial technologies. He develops and applies machine-learning models to address complex business challenges.

Zhe He, PhD

Dr. Zhe is a full professor in the School of Information and Director of the Institute for Successful Longevity at FSU. As a biomedical informatician, his research intersects with biomedical/health informatics, computer science, and information science. He specializes in machine learning, NLP, and knowledge representation. He is an elected fellow of IAHSIand AMIA.

Michael Gubanov, PhD

Dr. Gubanov is an assistant professor and a lead PI on a multi-year NSF ($550K) grant and a Casey DeSantis Cancer Innovation Fund ($1.2M) consortium grant with Moffitt Cancer Center to develop new AI for better cancer practices. He earned his PhD from the University of Washington and completed a postdoc at MIT CSAIL. His honors include the Amazon AI AWS Research Award, the Communications of the ACM (CACM) Award, the ACM SIGMOD Research Highlights Award, and the IEEE ICDE Best Paper Award.

Jonathan Adams, EdD, PhD

Dr. Jonathan Adams, a professor in the FSU School of Information, directs the CCI Machine Learning Lab (MLab), specializing in using synthetic visual data to train AI models. His broader research focuses on educational technologies, online learning, and entrepreneurship. With over 20 years of experience as an educator and a small business owner, he is also a Fulbright Scholar.
