Xian Mallory, PhD

Dr. Xian Mallory is an assistant professor of computer science at FSU, specializing in bioinformatics and AI for complex biological data analysis. Her research develops AI/machine learning methods to understand cancer evolution, heterogeneity, and genomic variation. She is a recipient of an NSF award for using AI in the detection of tumor cells.

Ziqi Li, PhD

Dr. Li is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and the Spatial Data Science Center at FSU. His research focuses on the methodological development of geospatial AI and explainable AI (XAI), including the GeoShapley method. A recipient of the Alan Turing Institute Postdoctoral Enrichment Award, he recently received an NVIDIA Academic Grant to advance research on geospatial foundation models.

Allan Jeong, PhD

Dr. Allan Jeong, an associate professor at FSU, specializes in cognitive modeling, analytics, and AI. He developed jMAP, a computer-assisted tool to enhance critical thinking through visual mapping. His research uses generative AI and advanced quantitative methods to analyze student discourse and identify logical fallacies in online reasoning.

Balu Bhasuran, PhD

Dr. Bhasuran is a researcher in clinical data science and biomedical informatics with over a decade of experience developing AI classification and prediction models. His work integrates clinical NLP, machine learning, and generative AI to advance computational methods for population health and clinical decision-making. His interests include causal inference, knowledge graphs, and fairness/explainability in AI systems.

Richard Antwi

Richard Antwi is a transportation engineer and geospatial scientist with expertise in data science, GIS, and transportation. As a Geospatial Developer at HNTB, he builds ML models and provides geospatial support. His research uses AI and computer vision to extract road geometry data for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), promoting smarter, safer mobility.

Jonathan Adams, EdD, PhD

Dr. Jonathan Adams, a professor in the FSU School of Information, directs the CCI Machine Learning Lab (MLab), specializing in using synthetic visual data to train AI models. His broader research focuses on educational technologies, online learning, and entrepreneurship. With over 20 years of experience as an educator and a small business owner, he is also a Fulbright Scholar.
